Recovering and Fresh Air

Photobucket
Well my wisdom tooth extraction went as well as I had hoped. The dentist had to leave a small piece of root in since he did not want to dig to deep on one of them. It is my prayer now that it will all heal up with no infection and the root will just fuse to the bone.

And it was wonderful to have it over with and to come home and see the children. The worst part was the pain medicine I decided to take. I have a very sensitive stomach always have, my children have this from me as well. So within about a half and hour of taking the medicine I had the unfortunate experience of nonstop vomiting until I was given yet some more medicine to stop that. And for the record I will say this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had!

Now today I am staying away from the pain pills and drinking herbal tea, with carnation which is supposed to be helpful for toothaches and headaches. Taking lots of hugs from my children, using ice packs, and even going for a small walk to get some fresh air. It reminded me that sometimes pain can be managed in a natural way. Sure I still have discomfort, but some discomfort is ok and thanks to all the love and hugs and the many prayers it is bearable.

These are all pictures from our walk today before the thunderstorms roll in.

We also rejoice in our sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans5: 3-5

Tessa's Bloomers

On a much different note last week I sewed Anna a pretty pair of Tessa's Bloomers out of a fine wale corduroy. I purchased this corduroy on clearance at Joann Fabrics for 2$ a yard. A very pretty brown shade for the Fall. These bloomers are super easy to make. And they look just like a skirt! I am always looking for patterns that are easy to make and very cost effective. This uses very little material and you do not need to add a ton of notions to it as well. My kind of pattern ;D And if you look at Anna's cute little brown shoes they are a women's size 5......I can not believe that she can wear women's shoes! She is growing way to fast.

  2. Well, it's good to know that's over with. May the Lord grant you healing and a full recovery. Yes, you are right. There are natural ways we can choose to help us feel better. Love is powerful, too. Thank God for His love for us through His son, Jesus Christ.

Glad to know you were able to get out and breathe in some fresh air. Anna is growing to be a lovely young lady.

    Blessings,
