Anna decided today she would like to host a spring fashion show here on the blog with her American Girl Dolls ~ She hopes you enjoy this collection of fashion that she has put together. This was a great opportunity for us to talk about modesty and if the outfits she chose were modest and how we could make them more modest if they were not. But it was also alot of fun!! I also think the hair stylist did an amazing job!

Moving
Were on the road again..... Ahhh the joys of renting! We are moving again when it seems like we just got unpacked. This place is not working out for us and we decided it is time to move on. Our move won't be to far just in a different part of Miami so we can still keep our same church and activities and that definately makes things easier on the kids. But it is certainly a challenge to homeschool and pack. I am glad we are in the last few weeks of school. Anna is working on a slavery lapbook and reading about the underground railroad. And the boys are finishing up with history and math. Noah says he would like to write a paper on the Crusades I think that would be a nice finish to the year. And Liam is still writing and reading tons. I am glad that the kids are still constantly devouring books. I am off to go do some more packing.

Old Recipe Yummy Cake
I busted out my Nonno's recipe book that my Dad gave to me when he passed away. He loved to cook and was always tearing things out of the newspaper and magazines and pasting them into this book of his. So we made the Jello cake. We actually made 2 cakes. We came up with a Gluten Free one for me! It's baking in the oven right now smells great!! Can't wait for dessert tonight!

We completed our Art Project in Children's Church and we enter into the art show this weekend in hopes to sell it to raise money for the ministries at our church. The kids were excited about the project and they are very proud of the work they have done. I have included pictures that the kids made of how they thought the mosaic cross might turn out. Hope you Enjoy the slide show ~

Liam's Story
Liam wants to be an author when he grows up but he figures why wait until he grows up. He loves writing and so I am helping him and encouraging him to write a book. He is writing a childrens story as one of his school assignments and he said today that I could be his illustrator. He really enjoyed explaining and describing his character to me and then seeing it come alive on paper for him as he imagined it to be. I will let you enjoy the first page of his story about Luna The Skunk.

Nonna's Quilt
Here is the fabric we chose to make Nonna's quilt. Anna and I will be starting this project together on the weekend. Today we got all the squares cut out. And now we need to decide how to arrange them all. That I think is the fun part. We are going to read a book together called The Quilt Block History of Pioneer Days before we decide how we want to design it.I think this is a great companion to our American History study that we are doing in Weaver right now.
I learned how to quilt when we lived in Alaska. The manager of our apartment at the time was an amazing quilter her name was Wilma. She kept me busy while I was pregant with Liam and taught me how to quilt. It has been a long time since I made a quilt so I am hoping it will all come back to me.

Followers ~ Todays Thoughts !
I have 2 followers on my Blog now and after being so alone out here in cyber world I think that is awesome!~ Thanks for following us on our Journey!
It made me think of this verse .....
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NKJV)

Art In The Street!!
We recently visited an Art Festival where some 400 local artists busted out their chalk pastels and drew in the street. The kids loved this festival it was so inspiring. Alot of very gifted people here. We really enjoyed looking at all the art and meeting some very friendly and encouraging artists who took time out from there master pieces to talk with the kids about art. Next year we will definately be here!! We would love to have a square to share our art. And of course the funnel cakes were delicious!
