Feeling Feminine Challenge Day 2 & 3

Here is day 2 and 3 from the 7 day Feelin Feminine Challenge. Anna loves dresses so you will usually find her in a dress before anything else. I prefer skirts I like how you can mix and match. I do apologize for the quality of the photos my camera has been giving me a hard time the last few days, it must be tired from our journey cross country.

What not to be afraid of when seeking out Modest Clothing.

Don't be afraid to go up a size to get a nicer fit. Sometimes I will buy up a size from what the store says I am so that the clothing drapes nicely on me rather than clings.

Don't be afraid to layer. I usually always wear a long camisole over my undergarments as well as slips. If you are buying any clothing from any store now a days I would highly suggest layering. Layering is very easy way to take the worries out of dressing modestly. Longer t-shirts under a shorter one, leggings under dresses, scarves to attract attention to other things.

Don't be afraid to check out stores that may seem like they have no modest clothing.
Many stores right now sell longer layering peices for very inexpensive. I have found that in stores that I would not normaly buy clothing from are hiding great layering pieces. Stores like Love Culture. Have fabulous long camisoles that can be worn under anything and go for 4.00$ a piece. Charlotte Russe which would appear to have alot of immodest clothing I have actually found lots of beautiful long blouses for 10$ a piece. Which is great because the blouses cover completely over you hip area.

Don't be afraid of color. Color can spice up any outfit. Old jumpers from the thrift store that would normaly look outdated when paired with a funky colored t~shirt like an odd shade of green can make them look new again! Something else that looks great in color is your shoes. Most stores right now are selling ballet flats in all sorts of colors and they go for about 10$ a pair, and you can get these in some really great colors yellow, green and even orange. So don't be a scaredy cat throw some color on yourself today!

Jesus Christ gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
Titus 2:14

This is the verse today on a website that posts a daily bible verse that I enjoy reading and I thought how fitting for the post today. Isn't this so true even about our dress that we seek to please God and are eager to do what is good in everything that we do for HIM. It's what I like to call dressing with purpose! Have a Blessed Day!

  1. Wonderful photos! I love your ideas too - I think layering is such a great idea. And I agree about sizing! I think too many women are too worried about what their dress size says and so they will scrunch into something so tiny and it turns out not flattering. I usually go up a dress size too for comfort and for things to fit right. :) You and your daughter look beautiful! Have a glorious day!
