O.k. first let me say I have way to much fun with the backgrounds at shabby blogs. Hopefully I am not making anyone dizzy with all my changes lol! I guess it is practice and preparation for setting up our house once we move in to where ever that may be. Sometimes you have to move the furniture around a few times before you figure it out and get it just right hehehe! ;D
We went out to find the other San Diego zoo this weekend. It turns out that the zoo we were at last weekend is what some would call the boring zoo. We really enjoyed the boring zoo and would not call it that, but we were also excited to see what all the fuss over this other zoo was!
Well this other zoo is pretty amazing. They have done an unbelievable job on the exhibits. And when you hear about how much they work towards conservation especially with endangered animals it really is outstanding. We even had the pleasure to witness the Lions get in a spat over a rather large bone that they did not want to share. There was running and jumping and pouncing and roaring. And we pretty much just stood there and said WOW! And of course that is when the battery died on my camera and I have no pictures but I will quote my husbands favorite saying for our family "Were Watts and We Remember!!!" but some shots of that would have been so cool!
Here are some snap shots from our day!
Still no word on the house yet but believe me you'll know when we know, I am sure you will here our shouts from here!!
"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you."

We took some of the same pictures when we were there last weekend! We preferred this zoo over the main zoo.
ReplyDeleteDear Heather,
ReplyDeleteWow, what a lot of fun! I'll have to use my imagination for the lions :P).
Love,

Great pics!! Next time we're in California, we will have to go to the zoo for sure!! You're not the only ones whose camera dies just when you most want to get photos. Good thing you all have awesome memories :oP!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!

Is this zoo also called, "The San Diego Wild Animal Park"? I remember going there with my family as a young teen and loving it! We went on a safari-type vehicle and the animals could live on huge acres of land. It seemed so surreal and I felt like I was on an African safari (although I've never been to Africa!)
