Thanks to Cindy for Hosting Show and Tell over at her very lovely blog called My Romantic Home.
Today for show and tell Friday I would like to share and heirloom with you. My grandfather was very skilled with his hands. He was a carpenter. He made beautiful furniture. I am fortunate enough to have a few pieces of his work. I have a beautiful trestle table, the doll house he made me, and a lovely jewelery box that my mother gave me. I currently keep these things at my fathers house since we have been moving a lot recently I did not want these things to go missing or get broken.
When I was visiting my father a couple weeks ago I took some pictures of my jewelry box. This jewelery box has a beautiful inlay pattern which was one of the skills my grandfather loved to use in his pieces.
My grandfather is no longer living but it is so nice to be able to admire his wonderful gift and to have an heirloom to share with our family.
We hope you enjoyed the pictures.
