Feminine Challenge Day 6
Well it appears I am finally getting used to the time difference out here on the Pacific coast. Now if only I could get used to the climate. I am so used to the extreme heat and humidity of Miami that I have no idea how to get dressed. It looks like I will be packing away some of those more lighter clothes and will have to get used to dressing more in layers. I am thinking some longer skirts will be nice as well since I have been cold in the skirts and clothing that I normally wear in Miami. I am thinking I should have looked into the climate more when packing for our trip. I did not even pack one sweater for Anna, and I went out the other day and bought some socks since I don't even own any hehehe!
Anna today is wearing a dress that I made her with some brown leggings under to keep warm, and I am wearing a sweater and t-shirt from Lands End thanks to the clearance rack at sears! I got them for 70% off which was an absolute steal. The skirt is one of the circle skirts I made out of denim back in Florida. I know I am talking about all this being cold and your probably wondering what being cold is after living in Miami well the temps this week will be in the 50's at night and the 60's during the day. That probably is not cold to most people right? But I'm freezing lol!!

Dear Heather,
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing ;)! 60 degrees! It's snowing outside my window right now (Which is kind of strange, since the leaves haven't even changed yet), and we definitely have socks on! I hope you can find a sweater for Anna soon :)
Love,
Marqueta
You two look so lovely! I love the dress you made for your daughter! It's beautiful! I know what you mean about changing your wardrobe to match the climate. I came from Minnesota and Wisconsin with humidity and very cold weather! I had to change a few things moving to Utah! lol
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day today dear friend!
You and Anna look lovely in your outfits.
ReplyDeleteI do feel for you in the temp change. After we had traveled for 3 yrs never really having winter, since we lived in an RV we stayed in warm climates 90% of the time. When we settled in one area the temps really were an adjustment. Hope you get adjusted quickly.
This is the day that the Lord hath made, I will rejoice and be gald in it.

Lol! We've been to LA a few times, and each time we've gone, it's felt wonderfully warm compared to home. But, I think I know what you mean by being cold, as I do remember thinking, "it's warm, but not as warm as I thought or hoped it would be." Our one trip to Florida was much warmer. We were swimming in the pool by 8am each morning.
ReplyDeleteI think over time you will get used to it. At least you're not trying to decided whether it is time to turn the furnace on! Hee hee!
Love the feminine dress again!
Blessings!
