This weekend while browsing the Goodwill we spotted a very nice wood twin bed for twenty dollars. Anna was in need of a new bed or more of a downsize she has always had a queen bed which was nice to have when family visited us. But Anna's new room is just to small and the large bed left her with just a narrow walkway and no room to play.Which just was not working for us at all. So we purchased this wonderful little wood bed and got to work figuring out how to make some space for Anna in her room. While we were moving things around in her room I decided to finally grant Anna her wish of having a wall mural painted on her wall. Something you aren't able to do when you have a landlord but now that we are in our own home we can paint away. So Anna now has a secret garden right next to her bed. Here are some snapshots of Anna's Secret Garden.
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
Oh my goodness, I didn't see the finished tree on FaceBook! There IS a birdie there! :) How fun for Anna; she'll have fond memories of that for the rest of her life, I'm sure.
OH it is just beautiful! You are quite the artist! Can you come and do my girls rooms when I get a home? :) It's so lovely and I am sure she loves it! You are so talented!
How fun for Anna! And The Secret Garden is one of my favorite childhood books! And how nice that you now have a home of your own to paint as you please! Great job! Blessings!
Thank you for all the wonderful comments and yes this home is such a blessing and an answer to our prayers! God is Faithful, Mighty and so Good! ~Love Heather
I love Anna's wall. You did such a wonderful job on the mural, I love the flowers and the butterflies. (I don't think I'll show this to my youngest as she will probably want one done too!)
What a beautiful and creative work you've done, Heather. I know Anna must be thrilled. I'm so thankful you are sharing your journey and that you are "at home" in your very own home.
What a talented artist you are. Truly beautiful and what a special gift for your daughter - she will truly remember all the time and love that went into it!
WoW, that looks amazing! The tree looks so real. The hole in the tree looks as if a woodpecker would go in there and make its home. The little bird house is a great touch. It looks as if it is really hanging from the branch! So many details... the butterflies are so beautiful and the flowers look gorgeous. The entire mural is absolutely fantastic! I am sure Anna was very pleased.
How blessed you are in your own home that the Lord so graciously provided for you and your family. I am so glad!
Thank you for sharing your life and gifts with us.
