Anna along with her regular studies is enjoying a lapbook/notebook study this week on some of the more famous Hymns and the writers of them. We thought we would pass on the link in case anyone is interested. Faithbooking Hymn Study
Here is a version of the Hymn we learned about today from You Tube. You will need to pause the music on the blog so that it does not overlap with the hymn when you listen.
O For A Thousand Tongues to Sing. Words by Charles Wesley
Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.
1 Chronicles 16:23
This is a great idea. I think I am going to incorporate it with my 6th grader!
ReplyDeleteThank you dear friend for sharing this.

Wonderful hymn ~ My favorite is Come Thou Fount
ReplyDeleteHi Heather,
ReplyDeleteLove that hymn! I want to thank you for all your visits and your lovely comments on my blog. I always welcome them. I hope you will consider joining in on my Tea Time Tuesday. I know you must be very busy with the homeschooling but if you can, I would love to have you! Have a lovely week.
Blessings,
Sandi
What a great idea! My older girls did something similar (about hymnals) when I homeschooled them. It is always nice to know a little something about the songs we sing.
ReplyDeleteHi Heather,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this post. I love Hymns. My favourite has got to be Morning Has Broken. I had this at my Wedding. R.E. was the only examination I passed! I just loved reading stories from the Bible. I really admire you for homeschooling. Hard work?
I thank you very much for the comments you left on my blog. I'm really pleased you enjoyed the post.
Chat with you again. OOh, I do love seeing your family in the sidebar.

I love to sing and listen to hymns. They truly do minister to my heart. Lapbooks are so much fun to do. Thanks for sharing the link; I will try this with our 9 year old son.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Dear Heather~a wonderful lapbook your daughter is doing!!The hymn and video is lovely. I keep checking on your sewing blog to see if you put up anything new but now I can see you are just as busy as me with homeschooling and all the other projects you have. You sew beautifully, by the way!! God bless my friend, Rose
