Thanks Cindy for hosting the fun Show and Tell Friday you can visit Cindy at My Romantic Home
We took a trip into town this week...I have my eyes set out for some coffee tables, Wyatt the Mastiff puppy likes to lean and use the coffee tables we have as a chin rest and my cheapy little target coffee tables are about to buckle from his constant pushing on them. But alas there are no heavy wood coffee tables to be found. But we did find some other wonderful things. Here's the loot we came home with.
Some Beatrix Potter Movies....Anna and I love these and yes while most people are out getting blurays~ Anna and I are still digging into the buy one get one free VHS bins hehe!!
Some wonderful books for .10cents each these should help me get a few steps closer to achieving my green thumb!!
Anna found this wonderful blue teapot. Anna has a knack for discovering treasures!!
Anna then went on a hunt for blue tea cups to match the teapot and of course she found some being the wonderful treasure hunter that she is! These say they are from England. Anna says they may have belonged to the Queen hehehe!! We will put these to good use!
And so Anna thought we found a blue teapot, we found some blue teacups, we shall have to find a blue creamer! And Anna found Mr.Cow......Wow Anna you have a real knack for this Thrift store treasure hunting.
And according to Anna this is our best treasure yet!! A BOY DOLL!! The first one ever to live in our home hehehe....I think he was very happy to meet all the Ladies and to get his place on the shelf in Anna's room.
We hope you enjoyed the snapshots of our treasure hunting here is a wonderful verse and some encouraging thoughts from Verse of the Day
Always love - pretty tall order and pretty tough stuff. Only God is always. But then Christians are fueled to an always love through the Holy Spirit! Elsewhere, Paul tells us that "The love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us." (Rom. 5:5) No wonder this love is always -- it is God's love, demonstrated by Jesus' sacrifice, and delivered by the Holy Spirit!
Wishing you a wonderful Weekend and a Most Blessed Valentines Day filled with the Everlasting Love from Our Father, and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ~Love The Watts Family
Hi! I use to homeschool my children, too. Do you do a lot of activities with local homeschoolers or are you pretty much to yourselves? What curriculum do you use?
ReplyDeleteI love all your thrifty finds. Aren't thrift stores the best places on earth? Fun, fun!
Have a great day!
Hi Heather,
ReplyDeleteWow! You found some great treasures! I love Beatrix Potter stories. Love the blue teapot and other goodies too. {The blue teapot would be wonderful for a Tea Time Tuesday post}. Have a beautiful weekend filled with love and joy. Happy Valentine's Day to you and your wonderful family!
Blessings,
Sandi
Dear Heather,
ReplyDeleteWonderful treasures, indeed! We have those videos, and a blue teapot just like that, and "Herbally Yours"! :)
A boy doll IS a rarity, so your girl dolls should feel privileged :).
Tell Anna that I'll bet the teacups must have come from the Queen, too!
Love,
Marqueta
How lovely you bought Beatrix Potter movies! I used to watch those and read the books as a little girl and I still love them dearly!
ReplyDeleteThe teacups and the pot are both darling: I'm ever on the look-out for similar ones!
Way to go, Anna! Perfect and beautiful tea pot, cups and creamer! Lovely together. I have heard boy dolls prefer blue when having their tea.
ReplyDeleteSweet visiting with you!
Hi Heather,
ReplyDeleteWhat an outing! I just love going to thrift stores and antique markets. I love the Beatrix Potter movies. I bought them on DVD a couple years ago along with the Beatrix Potter Treasury book which contains all her stories. It was on sale.:-) I watch them with my grandson even though he is really too young yet. Beautiful teapot and cups too.
Have a great weekend and a Happy Valentines Day to you and yours,
Blessings,
Anne
