Mr. Watts surprised Anna and I with some very nice tokens of affection.
Anna received a heart with wings.
...and for me, Mr.Watts had a beautiful heart locket with his picture inside. So I can keep him close to my heart. Something I will certainly cherish.
We decided this afternoon would be a wonderful day to enjoy all the Majesty God has created first hand and take a hike through the National Forest that is just down the way from where we live. Come take a hike with us! This is a moderately steep rocky hike my knees felt this one. But it eventually levels off to a beautiful rushing mountain creek (which was rather chilly how would I know? I fell in of course!!)...and some gorgeous views that will certainly catch your breath and leave you praising God!! .
The boys felt it necessary to challenge their skills and set off to do some climbing us girls took it easy and hung out by the creek looking for pretty stones we could string onto necklaces. This is when Lucy forgot she was a girl and when I was not looking pulled rather quickly on her leash to follow the boys promptly catching me off balance sending me straight into the creek. I will admit I didn't mind it so much the fresh creek water felt really good!
Looking up at the boys!!
The boys looking down at us!!
Some were enjoying the trail by horse back....
We hope you had a wonderful Valentines with your loved ones nearby or remembered dearly close in your heart ~
The LORD reigns, he is robed in majesty;

it cannot be moved.
What a lovely hike! How the Lord has blessed your family by finding the perfect home and situating right among HIS beauty!

Dear Heather,
ReplyDeleteWhat thoughtful, sweet gifts you and Anna received! And the hike, oh my, green! green! green! and a mushroom! I've been having dreams lately about finding mushrooms in February, but then I wake up :) .

Looks like you had perfect weather for your Sunday Hike! What a very fun time for you all ~ even Lucy and Wyatt!
Blessings!
Looks like a beautiful day! We watched it snow most of the day. Looks like the plow trucks cleared the roads while we were sleeping and it appears to have stopped snowing for now.
ReplyDeleteWhat special keepsakes Mr. Watts gave his beautiful ladies. Anna's face is just precious in that picture. I'm glad to see that Mr. Watt's was with you all to enjoy the hike, the Lord's day and Valentine's day. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. I am sure you have tons of things to explore, sketch and learn about.... just like you like it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your special day.... blessings,
The locket is so beautiful. Will your daughter be putting her daddy's photo in? What a lovely present. Your photo's are amazing! We are all snowed in here and it is nice to see warmth again. God bless, Rose

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading about your sweet Valentine's Day. Your hike reminds me of when I was a little girl and living in San Diego. On Sundays we would go to church, eat lunch and then go for a ride in the countryside. It was a sweet time for our family.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
What special gifts! I know you and your daughter will treasure them. Beautiful hiking country too. I use to live in Loyalton, up in the Sierra Valley. We went many times into the forest on foot and horseback for picnics. If you get a chance, you would love visiting(taking a field trip,he,he) Yosemite National Park. Beautiful country!
ReplyDeleteGod bless,
Anne
