More Rainbows....
The weather has been very unpredictable but I think this is the true characteristics of spring the warm sun will be out one moment and the next the wind will pick up and it will be raining sideways and then the sun comes back out and we open up the doors and windows to let the fresh spring breeze in and then the next thing you know we are closing the doors and windows and turning on the furnace and lighting a fire.....We seem to be running out doors when we can and then running back inside when the weather decides to turn on us....
But there is so much to do inside and out here are some snapshots of what we have been busy doing as we chase the sun or run from the rain....
Some Baking.....
When it was raining I pulled out my Grandfathers recipe book and baked some bread. The fresh bread seem to disappear rather quickly...
Some playing......
Inside and out.
Some gardening....
Some birding...
The Western Bluebird
Some Drawing...
This is from Noah's nature journal.
Some Sewing...
The adult Edwardian Apron.
And we even had time to squeeze in a birthday. Liam turned 12!!!
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

"It's a Wonder...filled life!!" Simply beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDear Heather,
ReplyDeleteOh, so much fun! Noah is getting to be quite the artist; and Anna will have so much fun with her own little garden to play with.
And of course, happy birthday to Liam! What a cute cake. :)
The apron looks so pretty in pink~I'll really have to hunt my box of patterns up and make me another one. You can never have too many aprons, right?
Enjoy your sun/rain/sun/rain/wind/sun/rain for us :).
Love,
Marqueta
Oh my what a beautiful rainbow!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Liam :) My little girl is going to be 11yrs old on Sunday, and I am so looking forward to this.
Homemade bread...now, wasn't that fun? I bet the smell was absolutely delicious!!
Anna is becoming such an accomplished helper to you dear friend. What a blessing she is to you and your loved ones!
Your day - was just what the Lord blessed you with :)

I do believe that spring is coming early here on the west coast! I fell sad that we didn't have any winter ~ it looks as though the eastern side of the country is getting it all!
ReplyDeleteYour Grandfather's bread recipe turned out beautifully! It looks grand! What a sweet pic of Anna (hope I am remembering correctly) watering the flowers around the bunny yard! And I have been enjoying the birds here, too! We had a hummingbird looking for nectar at our bird feeders Saturday! Yep! I think spring has arrived! You look just as cute as can be in your new apron! Great Job!
Wishing you Blessings!
p.s. And Happy Birthday, Liam!
Spring has sprung.....ARE YOU NUTS? Can't ya see the piles of frozen snow outside my balcony? HMPH. LOL Loving your photos!
ReplyDelete'Morning Heather,
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming post! Happy Birthday Liam! I don't think there is a more comforting scent wafting through one's home than freshly baked bread! I have just put the kettle on, come on by and have tea with me, ok? Have a beautiful day, my friend.
Blessings,
Sandi
Those two loaves of bread look so pretty! Delicious as well. Love the Bluebird! Just saw a blogger post some all the way in Northwestern NY. They are beautiful and varieties cover a large area.
ReplyDeleteNice visiting with you!
Kindly, ldh
What a great post... How wonderful to have your grandfather's recipe book!!! I don't think I know anyone who has their "grandfather's" recipe book; it's usually their mom's or grandmother's. That makes it all the more special. It looks like it's chock full of great recipes.
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures you have posted here. That bluebird is stunning! Your bread looks delicious. Anna and her dolls are adorable. Noah's sketchbook bird is amazing... what artistic talent you all have.
Happy Birthday to Liam! My they are growing up so fast. The birthday cake looks great... did you make it yourself?
Love your cute little garden, the flowers are so pretty and colorful. As always, you did a wonderful job sewing.... love the apron too!
So many fun and wonderful things going on.... what blessedness.
Thank you for sharing and brightening my day : ) I always leave her with a smile.
Blessings,
Happy belated birthday Liam!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you've been having a wonderful week! I am looking forward to the milder days again, although I am enjoying our new snowfall again too.
Your Edwardian apron is wonderful! I think I would be more faithful about wearing my aprons if I made on like that.
Blessings!
