Show and Tell Friday

Show and Tell
Well it is hard to believe that it is already Friday, where did the week go? Thanks again to Kelli for hosting the Show and Tell Friday.

Our Family would like to share with you this week Tea Time and Primula the Flowering Tea.
In the Watts Home we love tea. I grew up in Canada with very cold winters. Tea and cookies are always a pleasant reminder of coming in out of the cold, warming up and sharing that special time with my family in the afternoons. As a child it seemed like time stood still, while you sat back and sipped some tea.

Anna baked us some yummy gluten free chocolate chip cookies!

We also found a new little table this week on clearance for a ridiculous price it probably cost less than our tea and cookies lol! We do not have a coffee table so it was so nice to find a cute small table that we can pull out when needed to set our tea cups on! And it is just the right size for the Watts Family!

This week we also tried out a whole new Tea Experience. It is called the Primula Flowering Tea. It is basically a tea pod that is hand sewn and when hot water is poured over it, the pod opens up and blooms into a beautiful flower. If you would like to read more about it you can check it out on the Primula Website.
This week we tried out the wildflower tea and enjoyed a dab of clover honey in it as well. The Wildflower tea has Green Tea , Jasmine Flower , and Globe Amaranth Flower in it. And it was absolutely fabulous. I did not expect it to taste so fresh. It tasted as if someone had thrown a bunch of wildflowers into my teapot, and the smell was amazing as well.

We put the flower pod into the teapot and the children were all crowded around waiting to see what happened!

We just happened to have some classical music playing and the pod danced and spun around in the teapot as it gently opened and bloomed into a flower! Who knew tea could be so exciting!
Now if you would like to know the health benefits of such a lovely tea

We hope you enjoyed sharing our tea time this week with us and we hope you have a very blessed weekend filled with good health, faith, hope, love, peace, grace and maybe even a spot of tea.

"For God rewards the greatness of love that prompts a man, rather than the greatness of his achievement." Thomas a Kempis

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away

  2. That is such a fun tea!! Love the table and the cookies too. Do you make the cookies gluten free?

I think when our long, cold, Cdn winter sets in, I'm going to have to order some of this tea. It will be like a breath of sunshine! Our current favorite tea is coconut mango by Stash Teas. Yum!

  6. I love your beach photos. I enjoy hot tea and was very interested in this tea that blossoms into flowers. I am thinking this would be a good thing to share with my grandchildren and/or the Girl scout troop when we have our ettiquette lesson. I'll be sure and mark this site. Thanks for sharing this lovely tradition with us.

  8. Hello Heather...

How sweet...to have a daily tea time with your children...I just love that idea! I'm sure many memories are in the making for your dear children!!! Well I must admit that I'm not much of a hot tea drinker, I lived in south Texas for about 30 yrs. and iced tea was the daily staple! hehe! It was just too hot there for hot tea! Now I live in Colorado where a welcomed cup of hot tea during the cold winter would be nice! But alas...I'm still an iced tea kind of gal! hehe!

Really enjoyed your photos of your daughter baking cookies! So sweet!!! And I just adore your little blue table....what a treasure find! All three of my girls are now grown with families of their own...but we homeschooled for several years! I wouldn't trade that time with them or experience for anything in the world! We baked bread and cinnamon rolls every Friday in the winter time and sold it! To this day...my girls are expert bread makers! hehe!

Also before closing...I just have to say that your first song...Unclouded Day...brought back so many sweet memories to me! My Grandpa always sang that song and my mama and I always sang it in church!!! Sweet, precious memories!!! Wow...you've really taken me for a stroll down memory lane today with this post!
    Thank you, my friend!

    Warmest wishes,
    Chari
PS...ohhh, now Keep on the Sunny Side is playing. We always sang that song too!!! I love it!!! I just feel so at home at your place!!! Lord bless you!!!

  11. That is so cool! Only one of my four children will drink tea, but they might try it if we did this and it was sweet and flavorful. I might just have to try this. Thanks for sharing!
