Green Tea...Comfort of Home & Rip Van Winkle ...

Photobucket

Well we woke up not as early today and happily with no sugar ants. We did face a few new frustrations as we drove for what seemed like forever to find a new pediatrician only getting lost a few times. It made me think of the women in Africa who have to carry their sick children for miles to a village that has a doctor not even sure if they will be seen or if they have enough money to cover the expense. I say that so you know I am not complaining but thankful I have a car and the means to get where I need to go.

We were disappointed by the Doctor we met with unfortunately he was not in favor of homeschooling and made us feel very uncomfortable as we were grilled with an endless supply of interogating questions that had nothing to do with our visit. I chose to not answer most of the questions since it seemed he was looking for a debate which I had no desire to be part of. And after then being insulted as a mom for all the inadequeate choices I had made for my children he let us know he could do nothing for us. And if we were having problems it was because "they" meaning my children were unsocialized. Hmmmmmmm I had not expected that.

We had wanted Noah to get a evaluated since he suffered a brain injury when he was younger from an illness. Noah has been suffering with physical ticks for about 4 years now which have now made his neck frequently very sore. The doctors reply to this and what he told my son is he should tick with his arm instead of his neck then his neck would not hurt. My sons is not in control of what his body does when it ticks that is why we went to the doctor. Ugh can you feel my frustration as a mom? Well I ushered my children out of the office feeling no less than a popped balloon and we headed home.

But we did not stay down for long we put smiles on our faces we will pray for this Doctor tonight and bless him, and we will lift Noah up in prayer. This afternoon we enjoyed Tea in the shade of Green with the Story of Rip Van Winkle, in the comfort of our home where we are all loved and accepted. And we feel thankful and blessed that all we are and all we will be rests in the hands of Our All Mighty Father.

I am so glad that the bible is the living word this is the verse that really spoke to my heart today.
James 1:1-8
Dear Brothers and Sisters, when trouble comes your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete needing nothing.
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God , and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed in the wind. Such people should not expect to recieve anything from the Lord. Their Loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.

  1. Of course you already know, but I feel the need to back you up, that is a BAD doctor!

Ticks are related to neurological issues that can not be controlled. And any doctor worth his medical degree wouldn't dismiss you because you're homeschoolers. That just irks me deeply.

I'm glad you at least didn't have sugar ants. I really hate those little suckers and we get them every year in Minnesota. I'd never heard of them when I lived in California!
